ARTS FOR RURAL TEXAS The mission of Arts for Rural Texas (ARTS) is to heighten the visual and performing arts experience in our rural communities with an emphasis on providing educational opportunities for children. ARTS hosts visual and performing artists and their work in their main gallery and their Ross Gallery.

JAMES DICK FOUNDATION - ROUND TOP FESTIVAL INSTITUTE Located in historic Round Top, Texas, the Institute was founded in 1971 by concert pianist James Dick. Today it is an internationally acclaimed, European-styled music festival for aspiring young musicians and distinguished faculty. The Institute has also developed superb year round education and performance programs and has created a unique 210-acre campus (Festival Hill) containing major performance facilities, historic houses, extensive gardens, parks and nature preserves.

THE BUGLE BOY is a live acoustic music venue known as “a listening room” that provides an intimate, distraction free experience to connect with artists performing on stage. They generally have performances every Friday and Saturday night. Tickets can be purchased online, as well as access to join the performance live-stream remotely. VIP membership levels are available that offer advance notice of upcoming shows and priority seating in the venue. The Bugle Boy Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with the mission of “Elevating & Sustaining Original Live Music”. The all-volunteer Board of Directors oversees fundraising and financial stewardship for many projects in support of ther mission. Outreach programs include nursing home and hospice care concerts, special needs youth programs, and they are a chapter of the Soldier Songs & Voices program. They regularly provide updates on their facebook page, and donations can be made via their website.

American Legion Shelby Post 602 Since their charter, the American Legion Post serving our area has been welcoming Veterans from all branches of our Armed Forces. Their purpose for joining their Post is to enables members to continue serving God, Country and Community. Their mission is to implement the goals, aspirations, dreams, peace and blessings for our country, friends and families embodied in the preamble, benefitting citizens of Fayette County and 9th District community. Non-veterans can join their Post as a Booster or Sponsor. 100% of the monies raised are given back to the community. Help them to continue sponsoring Scholarships for children, give aid and assistance to local needy Veterans and their families and to support financially worthy community programs and projects.

The Shelby American Legion Post 602 Membership Meeting is held the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Post. Follow their facebook page for current information and events. _____________________

FAYETTEVILLE LIONS CLUB The Fayetteville Lions are dedicated to the needs of our local community. We are part of the 1.4 million members of a volunteer organization from 206 countries who share a core belief – community is what we make it. Though Lions are well known for successful initiatives in vision health, Lions service is as diverse as our members. Lions volunteer for many different kinds of projects — caring for the environment, feeding the hungry and aiding seniors and the disabled.

Prevent Unwanted Pets (PUPS) of Cat Spring is a 501(c)3 who’s mission is to assist people with the spaying and neutering of their pets if they cannot afford to do it on their own in order to decrease pet overpopulation. Veterinarians in 8 counties west of Houston assist us by doing the surgeries. We survive on public donations. We do not receive any local, state or federal funding. All donations to PUPS are tax deductible and100% of donations are used for spaying and neutering.
