TEXAS QUILT MUSEUM

The Texas Quilt Museum is housed in two historic 1890s buildings in downtown La Grange. The museum showcases both antique and contemporary quilt art, and attracts visitors from around the world. Open Thursday-Saturday, 10am - 4pm; Sundays Noon - 4pm. General admission is $8.00, Seniors & Students $6.00.

FESTIVAL HILL

The campus of The International Festival - Institute at Round Top is renowned for its unique concert hall. The complex includes relocated historic buildings and modern facilities that house practice, teaching, meeting and seminar rooms, as well as guest accommodations, for the Festival. One of the major summer music festivals in the United States, the Round Top Music Festival is held in June. Guided walking tours of Festival Hill led by expert docents are available for visiting groups.

PAINTED CHURCHES OF FAYETTE COUNTY

The Painted Churches are located in the communities of Dubina, High Hill, Ammannsville, and Praha. They appear unassuming as you approach them, but as you enter the front doors prepare to have your breath taken away by the beauty found inside. THE BUGLE BOY

The Bugle Boy is an intimate concert hall housed in a World War II army barracks located in La Grange. Shortly after opening in 2005, The Bugle Boy became one of the premier listening rooms in the country. The focus is on original, independent singer/songwriters, who perform folk, blues, rock, jazz, swing and everything in between. The Bugle Boy offers coffee drinks, fine wines and beer. Performances on Friday and Saturday nights.

WINEDALE & SHAKESPEARE AT WINEDALE

Winedale is a division of The Center for American History, the University of Texas special collections library, archive and museum. Located near Round Top in northern Fayette County, Winedale is a 225-acre complex of nineteenth-century buildings with period furnishings. In addition to history tours and programs for students, Winedale offers popular public programs and continuing education seminars. All tours are by appointment only. Shakespeare at Winedale is a program dedicated to bringing Shakespeare to life through performance.  Founded in 1970 as a UT English course, Shakespeare at Winedale has grown into a year-round program reaching many different groups through their Spring, Summer and Fall programs.

MONUMENT HILL & KREISCHE BREWERY STATE HISTORIC PARK

Located on the bluff overlooking La Grange, this picturesque 40 acre state park is the site of a tomb containing the remains of members of the Dawson and Mier Expeditions, as well as the ruins of one of the first commercial breweries in Texas.
