The Jodie Mikula Orchestra will perform the 2nd Sunday Polka Dance for August from 2:00 - 5:00 pm at the new Fayetteville Community Center.
Admission is free.
Free to the Public - a fun-filled night of dancing, singing and fun. Brenda Guy, a seasoned performer from Houston, will get you up on your feet and singing along to tunes from many genres, guaranteed to take you down memory lane! Her fun personality is always a crowd-pleaser and she knows how to make it a great time for all.
During breaks she’ll put on line dancing music to keep the fun going; Crystal will provide her a song list for those who have been participating in those fun events.
Acclaimed pianists Sergei Glavatskih and Noah Alden Hardaway present a special piano duo performance in partnership with Arts for Rural Texas and the Fayetteville Community Center & Performance Theater.
Doors will open at 6:30 PM, followed by the performance at 7:00 PM.

This event, hosted by the Fayetteville Lion’s Club will be held from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and is free to the public. Food & drinks will be available for purchase. Free spectator parking is available and there are public restrooms on the square.
Car judging will end at Noon and awards will be presented at 1:00 PM. Proceeds from the event will benefit Fayetteville ISD scholarships.

Fayetteville’s Annual Lickskillet Days Festival kicks off the third Saturday in October and continues through Sunday, so mark your calendars for some good old-fashioned, family-friendly fun. The Bluegrass jammin’ will join in the Country Christmas festivities! They’ll gather in the historic Fayetteville Courthouse.
This annual exhibition celebrates local artists in the community and provides a special opportunity for creatives to showcase their work in the Ross Gallery.
The exhibition will open in conjunction with Fayetteville’s Country Christmas celebration on Saturday, December 12. Visitors are invited to enjoy the festivities throughout the day, stop by the gallery from 4:00 – 6:00 PM for the show’s opening reception, and stick around afterwards for the lighted parade on the town square.

The Fayetteville-Ellinger Knights of Columbus Council 3168 is hosting a blood drive on the Square near the Old Firehouse on Saturday, July 25th from 8 am to Noon. Drop-ins at the mobile unit are accepted, or you can schedule an appointment by contacting Jonathan Noska at 979-966-9569 or online.

We'll be using the Yard Sale Treasure Map app again this year to allow mobile access to participants and providing hard copy maps. The maps can be downloaded from our home page, and hardcopies will be available at one of our 2 banks, Orsak’s Cafe, Joe’s Place, or the City Office ( M-F, 10 am - 2 pm) starting July 7th.
Fayetteville will kick off the America’s 250th Celebration on Friday, July 3rd. During the day, the movie National Treasure will be showing at the new Fayetteville Community Center (first showing at 11 am). They have created a treasure hunt game for families to enjoy, along with light snacks and beverages. Those activities will close around 5 pm and the action will move out to the Square where the City of Fayetteville is providing hot dogs and beverages, along with fiddle music provided by Robert Herridge and Ella B. Bring your lawnchairs!
The Czech Melody Masters will perform at the 2nd Sunday Polka Dance for June from 2:00 - 5:00 pm at the new Fayetteville Community Center.

The Summer Festival Institute Orchestra performs after daily rehearsals beginning on Monday and culminating on the Saturday evening performances at 7:30 pm. Sectionals are conducted by faculty and/or guest conductors on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

The Songwriter Serenade takes place the 1st Saturday in May in picturesque St. John, Texas, a scenic 45-minute drive away from Fayetteville. It coincides with Fayetteville’s Artwalk, so out-of-town visitors can make it a fun-filled weekend of arts and music. Check out or Lodging page for a place to stay!
The festival will take place on the Fayetteville Square Saturday, May 2, from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM, and Sunday, May 3, from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM. ARTS is excited to announce Janice McCubbin as the featured artist for this year's ArtWalk.
The Chamber of Commerce, with funding from the Fayetteville Economic Development Corporation and the Texas Center for Local Food, sponsored a local food survey for producers and consumers in and around Fayetteville. We are holding a Mixer at the new Fayetteville Community Center so you can enjoy the beautiful new facility (if you haven't seen it already), meet the Center's Executive Director, Crystal Gully, and gather for a presentation from Paula Balbontin, an expert in this area (and Fayetteville resident). She has compiled the data and prepared a presentation so we can all learn the result of this effort. The presentation will start at approximatey 5:30 pm.
Faces & Places, a gallery exhibition by local artist Mike Clann, is coming soon to the Ross Gallery. This collection spans over twenty years of Mike's painting career, featuring acrylic, oil, and mixed media paintings. Visitors may recognize local landmarks and see familiar faces. An opening reception will be held Saturday, April 25, from 4:00 - 6:00 PM.
It's that time of the year again! The MS150 ride will come through Fayetteville Saturday, April 25th. They finish the day in La Grange and then ride on to College Station on Sunday. Come cheer on the riders as they pass through town. The Chamber will have a table roadside starting at 9 am selling our wonderful super-soft T-shirt featuring our beloved Tinman with populations of other Fayetteville's in the US. Only $15 the day of the ride!
