Join Arts for Rural Texas this May 4th and 5th on Fayetteville’s historic town square for fine art and live music with ARTS’ annual ArtWalk, a juried fine art festival that is free to the public.

ArtWalk is a must-attend event for art lovers, offering a myriad of styles and artforms for attendees to explore. Nearly 60 artists of all media, including paintings, drawings, photography, sculpture, ceramics, fiber, and more, sell their original works.

City-Wide Garage Sale

The annual city-wide garage sale draws people from around the county. Participants should be prepared to start selling no later than 8 am on Saturday morning. Spaces are available on the Square for $20. Electricity is free and you provide the extension cord. Canopies are allowed but no stakes in the ground. Call or email us to be placed on the map or lease a space on the square.

LICKSKILLET DAYS, OCTOBER 19-20
ON and around THE SQUARE, FAYETTEVILLE

Fayetteville’s Annual Lickskillet Days Festival kicks off Saturday, October 19 and continues through Sunday, October 20 so mark your calendars for some good old-fashioned, family-friendly fun. The festival takes place right on the Historic Square. Live entertainment and street dancing on Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. The traditional celebration on strats with a Parade at 11 a.m. followed by BBQ dinner. Beer and wine available. Handmade treats in the “Country Store.” The Kid’s Zone includes face painting and lots more. Silent and Live Auction. All shops, restaurants and the museum will be open for business.

Country Christmas and Lighted Parade 2024

The 27th Annual Fayetteville Country Christmas celebration is on Saturday, December 14th. Join us for a full day of holiday festivities! Start the morning off shopping and dining in and around the square at our local establishments and arts & craft booths. Enjoy the Homes Tour starting at noon. Join in or watch the lighted parade at 6pm. Enjoy caroling around town after the parade. ARTS will be hosting kids crafts from 2-4PM and visit ARTS reception for their Holiday Show from 4-6 PM. See the annual Christmas Tree Decorating Contest display and meet Santa in the Old Firehouse. After the parade bring your lawn chairs and enjoy a Christmas Movie on the Square. Fun for the entire family!

ARTS Song Swap featuring Bill Pekar

The next in a series of Sunday Song Swaps will take place on April 7th, with hosted by ARTS with Mike Stroup and Bill Pekar. This is a great way to wrap up the weekend with an interactive discussion with the singer songwriter / musicians and hear them play some of their favorite original and cover tunes. The event is free. Light refreshments are provided. ARTS asks that talking during the event be limited to discussion with the artist.

Antique & Classic Car Show

This event, hosted by the Fayetteville Lion’s Club will be held from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and is free to the public. Food & drinks will be available for purchase. Free spectator parking is available and there are public restrooms on the square. The event will take place rain or shine.

Car judging will end at Noon and awards will be presented at 1:00 PM. Proceeds from the event will benefit Fayetteville ISD scholarships.
